Not really a Pynchon post, but my new novel HAPPY TALK (waiting on a
publisher) has more than its fair share of Pynchon and William Gaddis
moments.
Excerpts are living at http://www.scribd.com/my_document_collections/2654978
The Cole Porter parody bears resemblance to any of a number of
Pynchon's silly songs, and the premise of the Mexico car racing
chapter on the legendary 1950 Carrera Panamericana blends in
roadrunner-coyote imagery and Pink Floyd chatter. The San Francisco
1968 chapter is more Gaddis than P, but heck. Best
