V-2 - chapter 9 - Not Dark Yet

In addition to Conrad's stories, HoD, Victory, SA...and Poe's MRD, LC,
FHU...Mann MM, DiV, BG, we have Dickens here...the wind, the wind that
will belong to the rocket, is Dickens's wind and much of the gothic
romance of the chapter is taken from Pip's encounter with Estella and
Lady H at Satis House. A nice pun, as Estella explains it,
satisfaction & sadistic.
