I really don't know how many copies I bought.
I'm sure TRP saw none of the profit from the library bound first
edition I bought in the annus horribilis of 1998 for $200. I suspect
I've gone through more then ten copies, with about half of those
bought as used copies. There's also another CoL49 link online, I've
used it ever since, makes it so much easier to pull quotes.
This is going to continue to happen, it will be happening more.
By the way, my first reading of "Heart of Darkness" came from a
similar link. Did not read the physical copy until after reading the
online version. I may not be a College Prof -- at least I'm not
pretending I am -- but I've got my biannual stint at the FCC
Bookstore, every student is looking for a price break, most have smart-
phones that functionally speaking are computers. They're ready to read
texts on a computer screen even if you're not.
Just in case anyone think I'm being "Flamey", the "You" in the
previous sentence is rhetorical, not good ole JC.
Like Mr Quintana always sez . . .
