he's got moves complicated enough to metaphorize every step of Benny
Profane on and off the subway, and maybe a few of Stencil's as well...

---------------
"my mama talkin' to me tryin' to tell me how to live
- but you know I never answer 'cause my head is like a sieve" - Cheech and Chong

so I can't remember if anybody posted a summer reading post this year...

actually I didn't read all that much myself, the ones I can think of right now:
206 Bones (watched a lot of Bones episodes on DVD too) (they jumped
the shark when they joined the carnival, but so what!)
The I Hate Bush Reader (remaindered; full of reminders)
Ishmael Reed's _Japanese By Spring_ was pretty good, artful stuff in
the nature of IV, layering effects of a mature artist and so forth
Biochemical Individuality by Roger Williams, he was a discoverer of
vitamins and a good writer to boot
Medical Mavericks vol i-iii (by the late Hugh Riordan, orthomolecular
practitioner) -- good stuff
Who is Your Doctor and Why? - by Alonzo Shadman (because of the name,
of course!)(but good medical heretical stuff)

-----------------

so, like, Henry Adams also wrote 9 volumes on Jefferson and Madison

has anybody read those?

- Garry Wills has a book about Adams with the thesis that these are
his major work, showing an optimistic, patriotic, rather earnest Adams
which I've excitedly started...
I also got Nixon Agonistes by Garry Wills which I've excitedly started...
