I agree with this.  It seems pretty apparent that the economy needed and
needs more stimulus, and that Obama's economic advisors have said this.  But
the political people have said, we can't get anything more through Congress,
probably correctly, and Obama decided pragmatically to take what he could
get.  The real problem is Congress, but in taking what he can get he then
foregoes the opportunity to push back on that problem.

If the economy were in better shape, he would be able to do more, but it
isn't.
