who fight rootlessly, when needed...
 
Fina is reminded by them of Joan of Ark....a mercenary (female) rumbler when
the men couldn't do it............unusual association from her. A gang w Joanne 
de Arc?.....TRP grasping at
more observations on the (upcoming) modern woman? 
 
Joan of Ark...appears in Shakespeare's Henry 6, part 1.....a very different 
woman from the woman
Fina has learned about in school..................yes, she rumbles better'n than 
the big
guys....described as Amazonian, by no means Saintly nor a Witch..............she 
is Joan de Air or Joan de Aire in the play...
(footnote sez it was changed to Arc by religious associations (with ark as 
vessel) by a later historian...........the 

language and her fighting is full of sexual associations from Bill 
S......defeated Count jokes about her being on top...
she is an ugly woman in the play........
