Thanks to Melanie

[Mark Kohut]

I've occasionally wondered if TRP does any manuscript reading for Melanie....

Subject: Thanks to Melanie

The last line of acknowledgments in Tom McCarthy's new book "C" reads:

"Melanie Jackson and Jonny Pegg for their untiring support."

Jonny Pegg is a British literary agent, and we all know who the other person is.

Reviews in the LA Times and the New York Times have described McCarthy's new
novel as "Pynchonesque."
