V2nd: not very ontopic...Speedy Gonzalez reconsidered!

perhaps not so xenophobic, nor so unsavory, it depends on how they're
told probably,
but  could be considered in a more cheerful light -

a) adding to the people Freud says are in bed with any couple already,
one more: SG!

b) awareness of a new tide of immigrants (thanks in part to the
draconian governments sponsored and imposed on Latin America by US
commercial and foreign policy)

c) grudging acceptance of their existence; backhanded admiration of
their (possible, or imagined, or perhaps by virtue of higher
birthrates, actual) sexual prowess

d) just a touch of trying to break down homophobia ? (p 118 "Senor,
please take your hand off my ass...")(just the contemplation of which
gives the dedicated homophobe a frisson, I would think)

e) promulgating the notion of sexual non-exclusivity (the strength of
one's belief in which probably determines whether that's perceived as
a Good or a Bad Thing)
