the aether lives on

  Henry Musikar pointed out in a recent facebook post that about 18  
percent of Americans believe the earth is the unmoving center of the  
universe and the stars are held in a fixed aether.  This accords  
rather nicely with my friend Doug Lynch's thesis that the US is  
dominated by  what are technically referred to as "ignorant assholes".

For 45 dollars you can buy a book by a Catholic scientist proving  
that Copernicus was wrong and explaining how it really works.
