Remember in Against the day, how Descartes is satirized, savagely? And then
there is TRPs spying is everywhere theme.

In the newest bio of Descartes, by Grayling, he produces the suggestive
notion--explains aspects of his unknown life and his
aphorism that the greater part of a man's life is hidden,he sez--- that
Descartes was a spy, an active one.

Have you read Pincher Martin? Golding's perhaps-Christian existentialist parable
about a guy, already dead or as a dying consciousness
or argue another reading, trapped on a rock in the ocean? Turns out a close
reading shows that rock compared/as a huge tooth? Or
there is a toothsome metaphor goin' down hard.
