V-2nd - Chap 8 / I have really never read this book this closely before

Yeah and again, it's another reason why I dislike "V.', too many  
libraries, too much cigarette smoke, too much fashionable depression,  
too much grey and brown. I don't begrudge those that do enjoy the  
book, but I don't.

By the time "Against the Day" rolls into town, I'm all in.

I seriously think the most fruitful discussion of "V." would be a  
compare and contrast with AtD.

Of course, my notion for chapter Nine is a contrast and compare with  
Gravity's Rainbow, grid willing.
