I find Pynchon's non-fiction funny. Quite the opposite of telling
reality straight. To me, it seems like the same thing he's doing in
his fiction, but in a more subtle, more prosaic way. Telling reality
straight is not something I find in Pynchon's fiction or non-fiction.
Dylan and Pynchon seem similar to me in that regard. I think they are
both members of the cult of Mercurius.
