Good idea. Don't think you'll disappointed. Pure Wallace. The main
theme seems to be sadness. And boredom. Either of which, like laughter
in previous novel, can kill you. This is just a guess because I've
barely got started. But Wallace makes it both funny and sad, which is
poignant even if we didn't the author's own sad history.
And one doesn't need to Google various sections of the IRS code to enjoy
the book.
One other thing. Wallace seems to be the total opposite of Gaddis in
terms of irreverence. W's reverence is what makes his books so
hilariously funny. Gaddis does it one way, W another.
