On page 39 of the Gass Penguin ed., after Aunt May abuses Gwyon yet
once more before the son, this after Saint Clement's basilica is
connected with the Temple and the Bull, Gwyon, after an apology to his
son, "though he did not look up at him," goes out and looks straight
up into the sun. This scene seems quite significant. Lucifer has been
discussed, the light, images and the Italian visit. Woould look into
Walter Burkert...Bulls etc.
