Iceland Spar

    In the Deutsches Museum in Munich there is not only a piece of Iceland spar 
but a whole trove of things that make it look like a Pynchon exhibit: a rocket, 
surveying equipment, automata, and more. If you're ever there take a look 
because it is well worth it.

At a Natural History Museum, I saw a couple minerals billed
as Iceland Spar or just like Iceland Spar all set up to show 
the dual light filtering.......................

The two images were closer together than my mind's eye
had projected, so I was reality-shaped better....
