I'm not a Harry Potter fan. Books that turn out "happy" or even allow
for "hope" may be "satisfying" but they somehow grate on me.
I'm not really entirely convinced by Pynchon critics who are at pains
to place structures on his novels than allow for or permit positive
interpretations. (I know what the critics are about and I sympathize,
but . . . . )
I think Mark's thoughts about Pynchon and Systems might also apply here.
The positivities in Pynchon are in the words (it's a sound, man) , not
the systems.
That's my system.
