You don't win or lose a message war; it's such a stupid idea only the
media could come up with it. You win or lose a contest, an election.
But the media and the political parties have convinced voters that
it's the nmessage war that matters. So one man loses because he is
defeated by women who accuse him of infidelity and sexual harrasment,
another because he can't remember that 18 year olds can vote but not
drink, another because he is ugly, another because he is dull or
insipid. The message war makes us all losers; democracy is not about
message (or, medium), but elections and votes.
