of Against the Day, if mostly 'cause I never could get all that press release
kinda stuff that appeared in many mediocre reviews and notices about TRP
parodying all them writers from Verne, thru Wells, thru Tom Swift thru, etc.....
(Of course it seems The Time Machine IS laughed at overtly and what else? Much
seemed more generic but of course it would since I din't know all those writers)
so when Klute said writing lots of novels kinda mashing all these writers together
was what Michael Moorcock did and it is like what TRP did--and we know
Moorcock edited a mag in which he published TRP and we know what bonds
of connection Pynchon seems to believe in I was ready to believe Klute on
Moorcock as associative, parallel lines to the horizon kinda influence on AtD
so I was at a (used) bookstore with half a shelf of Moorcock and I opened a few
to see if I could 'W.A.S.T.E" any of my reading time on a book I probably could not get
or like at all since I was a;ways older then but I'm not much younger now...........
and one of them begins
(Something), (Somebody) .,.."in control of the Cosmic Balance"......
And wouldn't you know Karmic Adjustment popped right up in my mind's eye
like pavlov's dog's leg.....
Just sharin',,,,,,,,,,,,,,
