Downey on Inherent Vice

One of my first reactions to IV was that this was filmable.
Anderson seems to handle convolutions well. (Magnolia) He was a protege in
the loosest sense of the word of Altman who would have been a good choice
to direct a Pynchon film. He handles music well which would be very
important in filming a Pynchon book.
Downey makes an appealing wise-ass.
I would look forward to this movie with fingers crossed saying "Please
don't screw it up. Please don't screw it up. Please don't screw it up."
