GR translation: wallpaper awhisper with peacocks

I guess I made the case for wallpaper with patterns that were very faint peacocks
 fans
...down deep lawns
to old Georgian houses...[pictured] to safe groves of holm oak....

"Awhisper" here (imho) refers to the implied sound of the feathers of
the peacocks' tails as they spread their fans.
