further apologize for using the 3rd person to you refer to you, John,
when you're presumably in (on?) the thread.  I was replying to Jed but
still that seems rude upon rereading.

But am I the only one who enjoys rereading my own posts?  If you never
do that, John or Jed, then I think you're missing some enjoyment.

Next, I pride - well, not exactly pride myself in the fact that I
always...but at least I console myself that I, or anyway remind myself
to, trim headers, remove excess text, and avoid copying anything but
what I'm replying to.  And now I notice that I have begun to slip in
that regard lately.  At first it was a matter of top posting and
leaving everything else underneath unchanged.  Then it got even
slacker.  Must be the holiday feasting!

Also have begun to slip in the self-limiting dep't - as several
threads recently have inspired my intense interest and concomitant
loquacity.  However, resolution time is just around the corrner (and
it will also be a good time to chunk some money at W.A.S.T.E.)
