Steve Moore q. from the Gaddis-L

In 1975, Gaddis & his agent hoped to sell mass-market paperback rights
to J R to Bantam for an amount similar to what Pynchon got a few years
earlier for Gravity's Rainbow. Since some of you are Pynchon fans (and
belong to his e-list), does anyone know what that dollar amount was?
I've seen it somewhere, recall it being rather substantial. WG & TP
had the same agent: Candida Donadio.
