Was there any mention made this time through in the early discussion
of Rachel Owlglass about Till Eulenspiegel? I'm sure Kai and Otto can
fill us in on more about this trickster figure, but I just came across
him reading Will Durant's history of the Reformation. Eulenspiegel
translates, apparently, as Owlglass. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Till_Eulenspiegel
One of the many characteristics of the trickster archetype is the
ability to change sexes, as in the case of Tiresias. Just a thought I
wish I had more time to pursue. Unfortunately the storm that dumped so
much snow on the midwest dumped 10" of rain on my dirt road over the
mountain on its way to flog the north. I have work to do.
