NP - James Franco to Film William Faulkner

The Blood Meridian project has been in the works for years. This is the third incarnation, and probably the least promising. Unless actor Franco is a hidden screenwriting genius, it's unlikely he's going to be up for the task. This is a book that really doesn't translate into anything but an impressionistic art film, and these are Hollywood types who've got their mitts on it.
