Curmudgeon.

My wife was given one last year, and I've been jealous.  I'm sure it
will be surpassed by something better in no time, but for now, I'm
lovin' it.  Lighter than most books.  No need for keeping pages open
(with my usual spine-breaking book-abuse).  You can "carry"  many
books w/o extra weight when traveling.  Kindle books coast about 1/2
price.  Downside: maps/graphics are not zoomable (yet).  As for
rip-off factor:  You can "share" books w/ those you trust by sharing
registration name & password, thereby accessing all the books in
someone else's Kindle library.
