Misc. All those mirrors in TRP?

well said.

the way I break it down currently (subject to change, revision, and, I
certainly and fervently hope, to improvement) is that economic
activity (the actual buying and selling) takes place within the larger
sphere of cultural activity (which sets values), and cultural activity
takes place within the larger sphere of biological activity (which
sets limits), and I suppose the biosphere is nested in the physical
universe (which is the actual rulebook) --

and to complicate the matter, the tools for discussion and even much
(I'd not say "all", but certainly much - and the diagrams and vectors
that my thinking sometimes rises to, thrill me but unfortunately
quickly become more complex than I can visualize, let alone hope to
graphically represent...not to mention meaningful smells, muscle
tensions that accompany certain thoughts, endocrine secretions that
change thought-forms and vice versa...)

...much, as I began to state, much - though possibly not "all" -
contemplation of these matters takes form from language, which has its
own apparent epicycles, even in its purest form, math...

and all these spheres are in motion and no single entity comprehends
the entirety (unless you want to posit a God, and if He or She or It
is nice, I encourage that notion - ymmv)

so the ideal of socialism is near and dear to my cultural heart - from
each according to his abilities and to each according to his needs -
and I think it reflects physical reality ("nothing you can do that
can't be done", so forth)

yet trying to accomplish that thru the use of violence creates a
grievous imbalance in the force and leads to fat bastard commissars
equally as fat and bastardly as the worst capitalist robber barons, if
not even more fat and bastardly

so what is the answer? what should we then do?
"ain't worked that out yet" (as Charles Dutton used to say on the show "Roc")

although my inclination is to work at the cultural level in respect to
propagating the memes I like, ahimsa being a personal favorite (in my
Dad's imitable words, ABN - always be nice); at the market level by
ethical shopping; at the biological level by seeking out life
enhancement and trying to live in harmony; and to discover what I can
know of the physical world...
