After a few year hiatus I've poked my head in here to see what's been happening in Pynchon land and find, ye Gaddis, polemics on someone other than our favorite author. Oh well. I left right after suffering through The Master of Petersburg, which I made the mistake of recommending.

Are the ancient archives irretrievably lost? I mean stuff from the early '90s? There was a discussion of Gaddis way back then. Don't recall the details. 

I don't think I'll try to catch up with you, but just follow the asides, which, if things go as they have in the past, will be more than enough entertainment.

Good to see so many familiar names.
