That is the best subject line ever...

...despite the sad occasion.
(cock a snook from Heaven at the sad buggers who will never get you to
rehab now!)
(sure, it would have been nice if she would have moderated and lived
longer. A-and if I were her agent I'd have tried to talk her out of
releasing that song (and gotten her a writer...anybody who can sing
like that deserves a lyricist) - talk about asking for trouble - and
my friend who walked out of rehab and had to spend a year in jail
would probably agree...
but I'm just sayin' -
- that song, and the feeling it depicts -
- hey it's out there, and like my other friend whose picture in a 60s
riot throwing a rock at a police car enlivened his daughter's life
recently when she found it in a newspaper archive, long hair, young
wild and free, totally different picture of her dad the insurance exec
--- anyway... you know what I mean - may as well glory in it because
it isn't going away...)(or something like that)
and there's no way to refute feelings! The feeling of sadness one has
now doesn't refute the feeling of exhilaration that's still there in
that song. Although it does provide a commentary --- to me it says,
a) wish she would have taken better care of herself and b) while I
can't imagine a better vocal rendering, it's all too easy to imagine
better lyrics and
c) y'know, there's no guarantees *with* rehab either
But anyway...Mark's subject line really said it all!
