TRTR Pt 2 C 2 --"Words, they have to have a meaning"---Otto

Which applies to our last exchanges, yes, but I want to offer here for discussion:
 
Straightforward reliable truth from Otto? Not bloviating like from many of the minor characters at parties
in TR?   
 
And if so, what other meanings does it imply? 
 
I'm thinking old-fashioned (sorta) one-one (w 'ambiguities', of course) correspondence theory kind of truths in fiction
from before modernism, thru modernism still but NOT what we call post-modernism.  
 
TR ain't that.
