I assert no conviction about the author's view on belief, rather a
conviction about the speciousness of your view of what the author
believes. I do have a firm conviction that neither you nor anyone else
can know what the author believes, and that knowing what he believes
is irrelevant speculation adding nothing to the reading. The latter is
solely my opinion and not anything I believe has universal
application, as I can see and accept that you and others find that
such analysis does enhance your reading.
