Misc. The Recognitions sweeps the Navy

An English Lit academic now retired and novelist one 
John Seelye, known to a friend of mine who is lurking
on this list told me this and said it is OK with John to 
pass on.

He was in the navy @1960--1962, just a bit after Tom P. ,
of course, and he said the reading of this book was a 
big thing (among such serious reading kinds of sailors with
all that time on their hands). 

Notice this is (mostly) when only the hardcover was in print.
