Subject: THE COLOR WHEEL (my new movie) at BAM! One night only!
To: alexrossperry at gmail.com
Hello friends, associates and assorted folks from the last several
years of my life. Allow me to begin by apologizing for this mass
email, but you know I wouldn't be sending it if this was not
important.
The Color Wheel, my new feature film, is coming on home to Brooklyn.
In fact, to a theater I can walk to from my house (and often do) so
needless to say, this represents something of a high point in my life
and I would really like it if all sorts of great people who I know,
have known, or will know are there to make the night as great as
possible. The screening is Sunday, June 19th at 7 pm.
The film is playing at BAM, as part of their always amazing
BAMcinemaFest. CinemaFest is held every summer and shows about twenty
new independent films. BAM is one of the best theaters in New York,
certainly a favorite of mine, and I have been enjoying seeing films at
CinemaFest by great filmmakers for the past few years, so being a part
of it is a huge honor.
So please, if you can, be there to share this great night with me and
the majority of the crew and cast. We will be hanging out afterward at
a bar in Fort Green to be determined, so this will be a whole night of
fun.
The Color Wheel is the story of JR, an increasingly transient aspiring
news-anchor, as she forces her disappointing younger brother Colin to
embark on a road trip to move her belongings out of her
professor-turned-lover’s apartment. The film was co-written and stars
Carlen Altman, and was shot on 16mm by Sean Williams. Here is our
preview: http://vimeo.com/22200631
Once again, the screening is Sunday June 19th, at 7pm. I am fairly
certain it will sell out, so I highly recommend buying tickets in
advance, which can be done at this link:

And hey, don't take my word for it! Check out this great review from

Thank you all and I hope to see you at BAM on the 19th for this very
exciting night! And if you cannot make it, feel free to let anybody
you think might be interested
Your friend,
Alex
