Perhaps because of the plist's posting affection for the Coens'
The Big Lebowski; perhaps because of a possible allusion to 
another Coen movie in AtD; perhaps because of some feeling
the serious comic sensibilities of each are aligned alikely, so to say,
I have long suspected the Coens know Pynchon's work (as well as
inherent visa versa).

Who knows but them, eh?

So, in A Serious Man there is an internal little story involving
a dentist and teeth. A guy has Help Me inscribed naturally on the
back of his lower front teeth in Hebrew.
