nthing this, as the kids say. Gaddis is achingly, bitingly funny. Even
his tragic moments are funny.

I agree, though, that Recktall Brown is silly name, and that name
alone has done Wg the disfavour of getting him lumped in with all the
other Funny Name authors. Agnes Deigh is a rare other example. Most of
his characters have "real" names: just look at the dramatis personae
