The Monkees' Head: 'Our fans couldn't even see it'

The film was written by Jack Nicholson and directed by Bob Rafelson, and was
actually pretty good for what it was - a satiricial look at contemporary
media. (Frank Zappa, a Monkees fan, made an appearance, as did Victor Mature
and Abraham Sofaer as a swami in a steambath.)
