One clear message it sends to high level architects of state-sponsored
terrorism like Gaddafi and Assad (i.e, the men who are happy to have their
supporters blow themselves up without being willing to do it
themselves) is that we will hold the top of the terrorist food-chain
responsible for the actions of their followers and clients.  It also
indicates our foreign policy has more rational priorities after the
diversionary fiasco of the Iraq war.

No doubt it raises the potential threat level here in New York City, but
justice has been well served in this case.  I had a front row seat for 9-11
and have friends who lost family members in the Towers: can't remember
having ever read an obituary with more pleasure.
