Paul Thek: Diver, A Retrospective 

This artist, previously unknown to me, loved water. It became, with diver
images, archetypal concerning what an artist does--and more

in this exhibit there is one work which is him as the artist-figure,
bound-up on a bed suspended from "the heavens"...conceived--
perhaps learned-- from the same place as WG when he, WG, spoke
of that culture with the myth of the known universe as a watery sphere....

We are fished for. We sleep with the fishes.....
