If I were Obama, and I had Brother Cornell West leaving prayers on my answering machine,I wouldn't be returning those calls either.
Hew didn't write it, but this article makes West sound like an idiot.

Few people in the world will ever read Chomsky's comments (only a very small percentage of the country read well enough to understand his academic prose). Some number more than those few will listen to Amy Goodman's similarly provacative but impracticle shows. Nader and Moore at least get their divisive messages out to the people.
I think the best couse for the forseeable future is for people to hear and read the stalking-horse American left, but to come back to supporting the Dems as the only practical bulwark agains a very long, dark theocratic totalitarian era.
