Thanks for the archival blasts.......
 
I am sure we all could have a(nother) long discussion on the meaning of "a divided self' as the rhetorical
question is posed here, but I think Pynchon's self, if divided once, like many of us, has been unified in
most of the important ways for a long time now.......
 
I base this, again, unscientific speculation on the lifelong rough coherence of his vision, imho, although
I could be divided against myself in a collapsing house.....
