actually, for skank (and some other fun stuff like 60s nostalgia,
California atmosphere, a feeling of freedom from those times that
deserves the nuanced take Pynchon is capable of) one does more look to
IV...though it whetted rather than sated
was just looking at Len Deighton's oeuvre - good stuff; really enjoyable
musing...I've said it before, and still think so: I for one wouldn't
object to a genre-fiction (and genre-stretching) decalogy around Doc
and his family!
