that's certainly reinforced by the narrator suggesting his insights
would've been more searing at the moment of assassination...

but for the sitters at the seance, they aren't so much interested in

Rathenau qua Rathenau, but in what he has to say about
geo-economic-politics, aren't they?

What he will say, of course, is highly dependent on his personal
experience anyway.

(in a speculative spirit:
a) as the bullets ripped through him - "ach!  Schmerz!"
b) years later, much more objective and thoughtful)

Interesting (to me, anyway) sidelight is that one of his assassins
felt remorse, joined the French Foreign Legion (!) and later saved
hundreds of Jews in Marseilles from the Nazis.
