Yes, but unions are  also organized labor and even in the US that
means a salary scale based on skill and time. Wall Street has no such
organization; the vast majority could benefit from it, for they are
over-worked and take great risks, but a kid, wet behind the ears, frsh
out of B-school could make a million a month, while another B-school
back office grunt can not pay his rent without a bonus and he can't
count on getting one. There is no apprentice system, no Ginger Nuts
who run for Bartleby's co-workers, all that is gone. It is a bee hive
and an ant colony.

They know. Thoughts like farts may be warm excrement running down your
j-press and pooling in your wing-tips.
