There was a fairly long spell where Big Labor balanced Big Business.
That balance is gone as we have entered another Gilded Age. It is no
conspiracy. It is the effective work done by the right in right-wing
think tanks, right-wing funding of candidates in elections ranging
from local to national and it is the work of the oligarchy. Never
mind charisma. What charisma does an elected official have that
purposely speaks in non-standard English to masquerade as a populist?
Some of the right-wing work that has been done is to make sure that
the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Communications
Commission are commissions rather than Federal Bureaus or Agencies so
that they can be completely captured by the industries they were
tasked to regulate. Why is TV total crap and especially the PBS News
Hour? Does it appear that way because I am so smart? No, it's because
it's all complete crap and spectacle. I'm not entertained.
I am entertained by IV and the rest.
