that maybe being part of the point: the irresponsible capitalist is
unattractive to her, the lecherous lawyer is good for a tumble or two
but not serious husband material, Mucho, the voice of radio, is
succumbing to the drug culture and willing teens...

the attractive anarchist - she just isn't that type of girl!  and he
doesn't seem to be that interested in her anyway, more's the pity...

but she would make somebody a lovely lasagne -- 15 layers!  so for
lack of a better candidate, I'm thinkin' Cohen!

Yes I think Oedipa's romantic yearnings are an important facet of the
book.  (conspiracies are everywhere, as we now know -- it's love
that's sometimes hard to find!)
