Ideally I could show how Oedipa's participation in the dance and
alienation from it, sort of harmonizes with her pursuance of
Inverarity's legacy (and the concomitant tangents) and her  "in it but
not of it-ness" with respect to that also...

how her thinking of how Arrabal would describe the ballroom scene
segues into her different, disaffected reaction


so, mise-en-scene?  pretty good one?

loose ends:
the relationship between Arrabal's miracle and Bakunin's

the bemusement of Oedipa at all these people who don't use the US Mail
("a calculated withdrawal, from the life of the Republic" p 101)
indicative of a residual belief, on her part, in the Republic...

ideas of Oedipa as everyperson...some stuff about a feeling of lost community...

some kind of notion of sensing the way back toward that community in
further pursuing Inverarity's legacy (and, of course, the side trips)
and keeping sensibly quiet about her suspicions while learning more

a bit about learning from history...
