If an economy is a vehicle there is only one set of peddles on the
floor, one wheel to steer by. When they put all those nation states in
Europe in the driver's seat, each one with hands on the wheel, feet
fighting down below for the break, the accelerator, the clutch, they
did not work out exactly how, when a fork in the road presented
itself, they would take the sage Yogi's advice and,  "take it." Now,
as the industrial giant, her jack boot pinning the sandled feet of
southern speed deamons to the floor, rolls onto one giagantic glute,
forcing all who oppose her into the passanger seat, pulls her purse
from her back pocket and tosses it in the back seat where a mad
scramble ensues, the car now a locomotive of German engineering, no
Casey Jones Speed, we here the new anthem of the European locomotive:
one way or another this darkness....
