The fact that the President just hired another economist, from
Princeton (Wall Street is bursting with Princeton Graduates), this one
a labor economist, gives us some idea of how the problem will be
addressed by the administration. This appointment, while part
political spin and election mode defense, suggests that the
administration is going to try to do what Ben at the Fed has argued
must be done and what the congress, as Paul noted, won't do before the
election, that is, take serious measures to shore up the workers and
their houses with taxes and spending. Hey, where is old RR when we
need him? Oh Superman, where are you now?
