GR translation: gland pies

At several points in the book, Pynchon riffs on Americans and their
reaction to English food, which they often find disgusting. American
agricultural might allows us to discard animal parts that are less
appetizing such as organ meats. We find it strange that English people
eat this stuff voluntarily. Kidney pie leaps to mind.
