For any who did not know and are half-interested, T. S. Eliot, it seems, infamously rated
Coriolanus a better play than Hamlet....

Ralph Fiennes has finished his movie of, playing Coriolanus...

Subject: NP Revive for a moment a broken Coriolanus---The Waste Land

In this play about pervasive war-mongering, a martial fighter too soaringly arrogant to
even be soft enough to ask honestly to be elected King......[he tore butterfies apart as a boy
to the pride of his mother]; a play without much interiority because it is all action by unreflective
foax........................

Shakespeare drops this 'insight' into the mouth of a commenting citizen-commoner:

Citizen 1: Peace just make men hate each other...
Citizen 2: Reason: they no longer need each other...

Peace creating hate leading to war......always reminds me of such as N.O. Brown, GR, Marcuse...
the return of the repressed....

Another citizen (or one of the above) has already commented: Peace does nothing buy rust iron, increase tailors and
make cuckolds.

An adaptation in 1719 was subtitled The Fatal Resentment....(speaking of the return o fthe repressed)
