Murukami

I read Kafka on the Shore after The Wind-up Bird Chronicle. Both are
full of portent that fizzles or is just left in limbo. I didn't find
it anything like Pynchon. There may be a Japanese cultural disconnect
going on; maybe some sort of natural-pantheism (forgive my bad
labels), but implied depth never arrived.

I don't plan to read any more of Murakami.
